Description

Our 50 foot American Holly tree is part of our feeding station with shelter and food for all our birds. In late winter, Robins by the hundreds descend on our holly tree to gorge themselves on Holly berries when they are the sweetest. They will eat every berry on the tree within a few weeks. They also make an unbelievable mess with poop all over the property. It is a sight to behold … and get photo’s too!

Carol Rausch says:

I love the robin with holly. So beautiful. The robin was my late father’s favorite bird.

Margaret says:

Yesterday 2/25/2024 about 2 dozen robins descended on our 15’ holly tree and denuded it if berries in just under 4 hours. It was a sight to behold. And the tree was laden with berrie.

Theodora says:

This happens to us every year and we just love it! They are here now as we have six large female holly trees. Other birds will join in too.
