Description

In late summer, the Chickadees love to search between stalk and stems of my Cupflower plants for insects. When I first observed this behavior I thought they were drinking the water that pools between the leaf and stalk “the cup” of the plant which many birds do, but I then realized that the chickadees were munching on the insects who were drinking from the cup.
