On a cold December day while traveling our route for the winter bird count, we came across some Brewer’s blackbirds in the road. Several of them were in the icy cold puddles cleaning themselves. Brrrrr!!! The birds didn’t seem to mind, although this blackbird’s eyes seemed pretty wide in that cold bath!
