I’m not sure who is happier that this year’s native shrub plantings included two winterberry shrubs- me or the bluebirds? The bluebirds finally have reasons to visit other than to seek the water offerings. And while this photo shows only one male bird I’ve since had my first flock of 9 plus bluebirds finish off the winterberry fruits.
