Description

This was my very first Hummingbird Feeder. It took a few weeks for them to find me but when they did I was so excited! Never realized how much fun the Hummingbirds were and of course how bold. When I changed the nectar and took the feeders down I would get buzzed between the eyes. Nothing like getting threaten to put the feeder back up.

I noticed that between my red and my plum feeder the plum got all the action. I even switched up the placement. They are both the same style, so I suppose Plum is the new Red because it was their favorite one.

Lovely photo, and I’ve never seen a feeder like that. Where did you find it?

Dawn says:

Hi Meg, Aren’t these photos amazing here. Did you post one too?

The Feeder is made by ASPECT Hummzinger Humm Blossom Hummingbird Feeder Plum and is a 4 oz. feeder. I love them because they sparkle like jewels in the sun. It is small enough that I start to run out of nectar to remind me to change it so it stays nice and fresh. Simple to clean and dishwasher safe too. Ironically they like the plum one better than my red, but then again so do I. I sell them but you can also get them from BestNest.com I love them, I also put the nectar protectors on so I have never had trouble with bees or wasps.

Thankyou, Dawn, for all the invaluable info. I like the idea that the small capacity means the nectar stays fresh [I’m in PA and it gets hot in summer] I posted the hummer w. the molting feathers on it’s head. I’m enjoying how enthusiastically people are joining in and posting.
