Description

An Anna’s Hummingbird rests at a feeder during a December snowstorm. With a chilly forecast, I picked up a new hummingbird feeder to replace a broken feeder. I first saw the reflection of my toolshed in the feeder the evening after putting it up, and positioned the feeder for a potential winning shot the next day. When snow came, I waited for the opportunity. I managed some shots of the hummingbird feeding as well, including a couple neat shots of the bird sticking it’s tongue out as it drank the sugar water, but in this shot, the hummer’s restful pose mirrored so well the cozy shed while at the same time standing out against the falling snow.
