Description

I pulled into a parking lot near a waterway to photograph swallows under a nearby wooden bridge. During my visit that spanned several hours, high tide occurred and before long, a part of the parking lot was under water. As I watched the encroaching water line, a lone Greater Yellowlegs flew in, just a few feet away from me. It cautiously walked the parameter, then ventured into the center where the water was slightly deeper. It seemed to be testing the waters before splashing about.
