Description

Reddish breast. Small as a chickadee. Pointed beak. Immobile as I approached. Landed near my black oil seed feeder but was not eating or trying to eat seeds. Flew off, as seen in video.

Unknown Little Bird

This little bird st immobile as I approached. I thought something was wrong with it maybe. I took a video of it.24 seconds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GeJFXSlsH38 Then it flew away. I have not seen any others like it. I don't know what it is. Would love to know.

🙂 Looks like a Red-Breasted Nuthatch. (Here’s a link to the Cornell bird guide, with some info and more photos of this species: https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Red-breasted_Nuthatch/id)
