Description

Northern flickers show up at our backyard feeders almost daily. But despite their size, they seem to be fairly timid around other birds. It doesn’t take much to scare them away – like the appearance of a Steller’s jay wanting the peanut feeder, or even movement inside our house seen through living room windows. While they focus on the peanut feeder, recently with the colder weather, we’ve added suet cakes, and they often choose to go there, as the jays cannot access them in our suet feeder.
