Description

This Worm-eating Warbler was a “Lifer” for me on June 11, 2006 at Baldpate Mountain in NJ, an environmentally sensitive ecosystem recently preserved. There were several birds in the spicebush grove along the trail. Although I did not see their nests, they must have had nests nearby based on their behavior. I had a great opportunity to take some nice photo’s and then let them bring food for the hungry young!

Ooops! I saw this dedicated Worm-eating Warbler on June 11, 2016 (not 2006).

It sure is easier carrying a worm, than a paw paw!

Paul,
It is nice to know that habitats are being preserved for these birds with special nesting and feeding requirements.
