So, a couple weeks ago I was doing testing for my science fair project and I needed to take all my bird feeders down so my tests would be more accurate, but with my suet feeder (suet wrapped around a tree with wire) I couldn’t just take it down — I needed an alternative, so I took some wrapping paper and I wrapped the suet feeder with it.
Later, as I was doing my testing, this male Downy Woodpecker (in the picture) decided to still go to the suet feeder and peck through the wrapping paper, which I found funny.
This guy here is “Sweet for Suet!”
