Ostdrossel
Macomb, Michigan, USA
The first snow day always brings in many Cardinals. Amongst them was this little lady. She is new to the yard, and she caught my attention because of her magnificent eyebrows. Female Cardinals can look a bit less exciting than their male counterparts, but snow days accentuate their beautiful colors.
Category 3: Cardinals and Friends
love the variety of color captured with this set up. not just this bird, but also the rest who are captured when visiting this feeder.
Thank you, Miles 🙂
Absolutely beautiful!
As usual, we can see the extraordinary up close in your photos. Keep them coming!
I love how this photo shows her subtle colorations and, of course, her amazing eyebrows.
Fantastic photo!
She even has her “lipstick” on! Beautiful bird. Love your bird photos!
I’ve followed Ostdrossel for maybe 6 months now. I’m always amazed at the beautiful photos & videos shared. Not everyone shares the same passion to painstakingly sort through footage for the shots. We sure enjoy the rewards though. Thank you!!!
She is beautiful! I actually think the female cardinal is as beautiful as the male. In different ways. I love the soft sometimes drab golden color they have. Is quite the contrast to the bright red male.
All of them wonderful pics ! 💙
All of them are wonderful pics ! 💙
Thank you all for the kind words 🙂
Yes, she is a very lovely lady!
Love her red eyebrow
Lovely winter scene. ❤️
The cardinals are by far my favorite birds. The Queen is elegant and mystical. May not have all the colourful colours of the male however she can hold her own. Keep those wonderful pictures coming.
The quality of photos, footage, and love for our flying friends (and the occasional raccoon or squirrel) is so evident in Ostdrossel’s work! I love the facts and details shared about many of the species, as well as info about feeding. The Queen is a real beauty! Thank you Ostdrossel for this (and other) beautiful shots! Good luck!
A natural winner for sure!
Awesome shots as usual!
I just voted for your photo! So beautiful 😍
I enjoy your pictures more than words can say ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
You always have the best photos. The Queen is spectacular.
