The Gila Woodpeckers have a sweet tooth for oranges. This is a male, he has red on his head. They also eat bugs and lizards along with the mealworms and sunflower seeds I put out for the other birds. Seems like a well balanced diet. Photo taken in my yard in Oro Valley, Arizona.
