I photographed this Red-crested Cardinal in Lahaina, Hawaii, this December. Despite looking similar to the familiar Northern Cardinal and sharing part of a name, the Red-crested Cardinal is actually a Tanager, native to South America and introduced on the Hawaiian Islands.
