Description

This photo was taken September 4th 2019 at Jefferson Springs Recreation Area in Smyrna, Tennessee. When I got out of the car, this was the first bird I saw. It was so beautiful going down and around this massive tree trunk. There were several other White-breasted Nuthatches and they were calling back and forth to each other while busily foraging and going through the crevices of the trees so meticulously and fast. I thought this bird was so beautiful with his colors next to the green moss on the tree trunk. Very pretty black eyes too.
