Chazy Landing, NY, USA

This photo was taken 11/13/20 looking across a huge cornfield along Lake Champlain, NY. This is just one portion of a flock that numbered an estimated 10,000 birds. The entire flock had just taken off when this photo was taken. The sound of their honking as they flew was deafening. These geese circled circled the field and landed again almost exactly where they had flown from. They stayed feeding in the field for the few hours I was in the area. The real excitement though was discovering and photographing a Snowy Owl in an adjacent field perhaps a quarter mile from and in sight of all these Snow Geese!
