I am surrounded by woods and have a creek in my yard. I feed the birds and to make them feel at home I use a big 8 inch diameter fallen tree limb that was hollow I found as one of my feeders. This winter I adorned it with pine cones and pine tree trimmings. This Downy Woodpecker loves it, as well as all the other species in the yard.
