Description

Driving along a brush lined country road, I spotted a movement. I stopped the car, and there was this pheasant, completely immobile pressed into the reeds lining the road. I pulled out the camera and took several photos, thinking he would run immediately since I was fairly close. Clearly he saw me. I learned a lesson about pheasants that day. Their only defense is to be completely still and hope they are not noticed.
