These 3 seemed to be squabbling over the food and if you look very closely right under the blue jay you will see a cardinal peeping!!

I absolutely love your picture. We get such joy in watching these beautiful birds. There is joy in all of creation! By the way is that an orange or grapefruit you put out for them? I am so happy for you that you not only got to see these beauties together but thank you for sharing the picture. It warmed my heart and made me π.
Wow! I would buy a set of greeting cards with this picture on the front in a heartbeat!
This is THE MOST WONDERFUL photo of our feathered, yet competitive, friends. No wonder it was the grand prize winner!
Fabulous picture!
Beautiful composition!
Who won? I’m betting on the sapsucker.
Amazing to get all three species like that! And particularly catching their squabble. Congratulations!
I love it! what is inside the orange or grapefruit. you mention jelly?
i would love to do that. i live in the coast area of southern CA, and have some beautiful birds visiting my yard for water in my fountain.
Great photo but not a trio. Notice the NOCA in the lower right through the window in the tree. Awesome!
