Description

This hawk was observed perched on a fence line. Suddenly took off, flew across the yard and dove into an arborvitae tree. It emerged with nothing and perched on the shed roof where it continued to intently watch the tree. It then took off, flew around the right side of the tree and once again dove into the foliage. After about a minute it emerged again, (we couldn’t see anything in its talons) and flew away. Needless to say, while this transpired, nothing else moved in the yard.
