Description

These photos were taken at Neck Point Park in Nanaimo. A Cooper’s Hawk was trying to dry it’s feathers after a rain but it perched too close to an Anna’s Hummingbird’s territory. In shot 568 the hummer can seen clearly in the upper left quadrant. Hummingbirds are very possessive and will defend their area against much bigger foes. One gets the impression that if hummingbirds could speak, it would all be swear words..
