I’ve been feeding birds for a lot of years and have never seen this bird before. I believe it is a Gray Crowned Rosy Finch. Apparently it’s a bird of the mountains and foothills of the southern half of our province.
I have six visiting my feeders this year. They showed up two weeks ago and have been back every day since then.
No one I know has seen them in this district before.
