For about a week I have seen this bird on the feeder, suet basket and fence always on one leg.

August 2017 I have a Carolina Wren who is a regular at my suet feeder with a shriveled and darkened right leg. Birth defect? Environmental cause? How rare is this condition?
I should add to my above post that I live in Winston Salem, NC.
