This house finch was seen over a period of around 3 weeks, and was able to eat and drink regularly until she stopped coming to feeder.

Poor little girl, that could be Mycoplasmal conjunctivitis (House Finch Eye Disease) or more likely, Avian Pox. Take down your feeders for a few days (longer if needed) and clean them thoroughly to prevent the spread of disease.
