Description
One evening while searching for a Lark Sparrow, I heard an overhead buzz. I looked to see this Common Nighthawk making repeated runs gathering insects in flight. It would disappear out of sight but then return a handful of times. At one point it came to nearly eye level as it “buzzed” by. These birds are incredibly fast and was very happy to have been able to grab a couple of quick shots. Really an awesome experience!

I find nighthawks hard to photograph, but you caught a beauty.
