Description
This photo was taken by me on November 2, 2018. For almost a week we had a group of 5 Evening Grosbeaks visiting our feeders. This is the first time we have ever had Evening Grosbeak. 2018 is reported to be an irruptive year for many of the winter finches and the prediction appears to be correct. It was very exciting to have them visit our feeders!

Yes! it is very exciting to see that Evening Grosbeaks being sighted. The last time we hosted this species at our feeders in Western NY, was 20 years ago!
Since learning about this southerly showing of EG, my husband and I have been watching for them every day! Hope they show up.
Thanks!
