Description
Had this beautiful Woodpecker stop by daily in the spring for a whole week. Ate from our feeders, the suet and even took a bath. I love this picture of him more than all the others I took because of the pose. It shows him off in a way I’ve never seen before. Hope I get to see “big red” in person again one day. 🙂

Well thank you. This was a hard category for sure. I’ve got hundreds of pics of woodpecker and nuthatches but only had this pretty Red-headed pecker for two whole weeks. He’s about the rarest posted so far so my fingers are crossed. Yah…right! lol 😉 I do this for fun. Too much great competition!! 😉
