Description
While I was checking the Osprey nest, I found a pair of Eastern Kingbirds had also moved in close to the Osprey nest. The Kingbirds were very aggressive that day and did not give the adult Osprey any relaxing time on the nest. The Kingbirds continually chased the Osprey together or individually, and they weren’t afraid to get too close. Two things I learned while watching were: there were two young Ospreys on the nest and when Eastern Kingbirds get riled up, the red patch on their head becomes very visible.
