Description

The Sapsucker spent an hour on the trees rubbing its beak up and down feeding. I was not able to discern what it was eating or what was stuck in the sap. Fortunately I live off a traffic free forest road. I was in my car and was able to turn the engine off, put it in neutral and follow the pair of Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers down a strand of trees for a long time.

Using my car as a blind I was able to photograph Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers at the edge of my road.
