Description
On Feb. 7, 2021, I was standing next to my picture window, watching for birds at the feeders just an arm’s reach away (if the windows were open) and whistling to a classical selection on the radio. Suddenly the Cooper’s Hawk swooped into the garden, landing under the millet feeder – a popular gathering spot of sparrows and squirrels. He looked at me and kept looking all around, trying to find the bird who was singing a territorial song. He kept glancing at me, trying to figure out where that song was originating. He seemed confused, continuing to look for that bird! I managed to snap a photo before he gave up and flew away to a neighbor’s rooftop. I just smiled and gave a little giggle.
