Description

Purple Finches aren’t very common to my feeders, and I had never observed Pine Siskins at my house before this fall. But in this picture I got both of those (the Purple is a female), as well as an American Goldfinch. Three finch species in one shot! The Purple seems to be scolding the poor Siskin. I repeated the trifecta a couple of days later, that time with a male House Finch in place of the Purple.

Finch Trifecta!
