Description

I was leaving work one hot, summer afternoon and as I walked past the little pond located on our office property, I noticed this Great Blue Heron. He was standing perfectly still and I was surprised he allowed me to get so close. In the blink of eye, he stuck his head underwater and came up with a fish. He stood there for a few minutes savoring the meal to come. I finally woke up and said to myself “get your phone and take a picture!” Right after I snapped this picture, he swallowed the fish whole.
