Description
We have seen a Northern Pigmy-Owl several times this winter. It has been preying on the Common Redpolls that come to our feeder. This Owl was perched with a Redpoll in its talons. The Redpoll struggled at first, then was still. Previous owl sightings were brief. This time the owl remained in sight for more than 15 minutes before carrying its prey into one of the tall Douglas Firs in front of the house.

Amazing! Incredible capture.
I had a similar shot! Once in a lifetime for me, I think!
