Description
I had heard about the cowbirds laying their eggs in other bird nests. Past summer I got to see how a chipping sparrow parent worked tirelessly to feed a BIG cowbird fledgeling. I was taken aback when I saw the efforts of the parent bird to feed the fledgeling, where it was perched nicely on the feeder and the parent bird was FLY FEEDING. A scene worth to remember.
