“Northern Cardinal In Winter” by Debbie Oppermann. It was a brutal cold, blustery winter day when I spotted this male Northern Red Cardinal perched on the snowy branch of the Spruce tree in my backyard in Guelph Ontario Canada. I am pretty sure that in minus 20 degree temperature it must have been a little cold for our feathered friends, but the sun was shining brightly which makes the cold a little more bearable, as they still have to do what they have to do!
