Description

I honestly don’t think Northern Cardinals could ever be described as boring. Even the more subtle coloring of the female is beautiful. But they ARE common backyard feeder visitors, and so some people may consider them boring, compared to a spring migrant, or rare bird that has flown off course. I love to photograph my common backyard birds, especially in the snow. This little lady gave me a number of winning shots on a frigid January day.

Gorgeous Girl in a perfect setting! I agree, I’d never describe our Northern Cardinals as boring but lucky for us they are common. 🙂

Thank you Theresa! I see you are also in the Grand Rapids area! Have you been out to see the Snowy Owls?

Theresa Nickels says:

I have not seen the Snowy Owls. I haven’t even heard about them. I guess I better find out more and grab my camera!
