Description
We had a terrible late spring this year – no insects available for migrating birds at the start of May. I even found a bat hunting in the daylight. Scarlet tanagers were forced to come to bird feeders, and come they did. This is ‘ours’, telling a woodpecker what he really thinks, but several friends reported tanagers at their feeders too. The draw was peanuts, which the bird seemed to really like (the bluebirds were eating them too).
