Description
My bird-feeding stations were very busy this spring and summer with multiple pairs of Black-Headed Grosbeaks, Evening Grosbeaks, and Varied Thrush, along with the usual complement of Steller’s Jays. There was a constant flutter of activity around all the feeders as one bird left (or got chased off) and the new one took its place. The Black-Headed Grosbeaks were the most aggressive in protecting “their” food source. They really liked the Bark Butter Bits.
